A few words for us...
Gonaives, Haiti The poorest of the poor live here, many without the basic necessities of survival…food, water, clothes…even a parent's care and love. It's estimated over 2000 of Gonaives' children are orphans, struggling to survive and grow in a place lacking even a trace of the abundance we enjoy. Can you imagine a small child trying to get by in the face of such fierce competition for survival without even a mother's love to comfort her?
The face of Christ is being reflected to the world by Christ's
body, His Church, joining together to help these children,
who are beginning to know a slightly better existence, thanks
to the efforts of a few men. A Haitian proverb, "men anpil
chay pa lou"- hands together accomplishes much- embodies
the essence of this action. The hands of God, belonging
specifically to Thomas Staples, Sidney Jennings, and James
Burch, began a very special ministry in Gonaives in 2004.
We invite you to learn more and become a part of the unification
of Christ's body, at work in this precious place.
